Our community is built on real connections.
By developing genuine relationships with families, we can provide a consistent learning environment that enables students to confidently embrace their future, knowing they can look beyond the ordinary to achieve the extraordinary.
“As parents we want our children to have balance in their lives. We want them to grow to be the best they can, to learn to achieve academically, to participate in a range of activities and to develop their whole personality. It is important for them to understand responsibility and to have a positive self- image and self-discipline. We know that if they are raised in a Christian environment they will learn respect for others as well as for themselves. We realise they need all these things to be successful and we can’t achieve this on our own. We need a school that supports us and provides guidance and reinforcement when we are not there.”
Rivermount College is a vibrant community in which students and their families are encouraged to be active participants in the life of the school. As a non-denominational College, Rivermount welcomes families of all faiths and others who value the Christian programs and environment.
We are proud of the authentic spirit created by our diverse and supportive community. Strong relationships between parents, staff, students, alumni and the wider community create a nurturing and collaborative environment.
Our alumni remain actively engaged in the community, and many graduates are seeking employment and enrolment for their own families.
Rivermount staff are highly motivated and dedicated to providing excellent services, and many choose to enrol their children and grandchildren in the College.
Our Families and Friends Association is committed to working with staff to ensure a positive connection between the home and school environments.
We value transparent and open communication. Through our open-door policy, all College community members are welcomed and encouraged to communicate their concerns and seek clarification and support on College matters.
We strive for inclusivity. Feeling included and learning to include is essential to our community focus, and we aim to achieve this by creating a sustainable culture of belonging.
We cultivate respect. As a community, we encourage all our stakeholders to embrace diversity and develop tolerance, understanding and acceptance.
We foster engagement. Our staff, parents and students are encouraged to connect through shared experiences, opportunities and goals. Interacting together through the learning journey fosters more substantial relationships, a foundation of mutual respect and trust and a shared celebration of success.
