Choirs at RMC

Singers from across the Primary and Secondary Schools are invited to participate in the College choirs. The College has a variety of choirs and singing groups to meet the needs of our students.

Lower Primary Choir (Prep to Year 3)

The aim of the Lower Primary Choir is to familiarise students with choir dynamics. Students work on developing their singing skills and confidence and learn to follow a conductor.Their repertoire is filled with fun songs suitable for their level of ability and age.

The Lower Primary Choir rehearses on a nominated morning from 8.00am to 8.30am.

Upper Primary Choir (Year 4 to Year 6)

The Upper Primary Choir continues to develop students’ choral and vocal ability and students are introduced to singing in harmony parts.

The Upper Primary School Choir rehearses on a nominated morning from 8.00am to 8.30am.

Secondary School Choir (Year 7 to Year 12)

The Secondary School Choir is an advanced vocal group who sing more challenging works. Singing in parts will be extended within this group and a wide repertoire will be performed including a number of contemporary works.

Students from Year 7 to Year 12 are eligible to join this ensemble. Auditions are not necessary, however, consistent attendance is compulsory.

The Secondary School Choir rehearses on a nominated afternoon from 3.30pm to 4.30pm each week.
