Technology at RMC

All students at Rivermount College benefit from a Technology Program that is integrated into teaching and learning from Prep to Year 12. The aim of this program is to develop the learning experience of all students and to encourage them to explore and discover innovative ways of thinking. Access to technology enables students to develop new skills, to expand their knowledge of research and collaboration and build their confidence as they engage with the exciting and creative potential of technology.

Our campus provides students with access to the following:

  • WIFI on campus
  • Student email accounts (from Year 4)
  • Wireless Projection and wireless TV's in classrooms
  • Purpose built computer labs
Primary School

From Prep to Year 6, students have access to Laptops and iPads equipped with appropriate educational apps allowing students to engage, interact and collaborate in their learning.

While technology is utilised across the Primary School curriculum, students also explore technological skills in coding and robotics using a range of hands-on and interactive learning tools.

Secondary School

Our 1-to-1 Laptop Program has been designed to provide students with personal portable computers to enhance opportunities for learning and develop the skills necessary to live and work in a digital world. The College Laptop programs provides students with a device under an agreement policy that allows them to utilise a device and accompanying software for educational use at home and at the College.

Cybersafety

We understand that our students’ cyber safety is crucial and equip them with the information and skills they need to use technology productively, safely and responsibly.  All students from Prep to Year 12 are required to sign a Cybersafety Agreement upon admission to the College and at the commencement of each school year.
